hierry Lesage loves to travel and is passionate about history, reading, motoring, and cycling. He is serious at work but never takes himself too seriously.
He is a Partner in Arendt & Medernach’s Tax Law Practice and specializes in domestic and international tax matters, private equity, real estate investments, and financial transactions.
He is a member of the Luxembourg Bar Association, the American Bar Association, the International Bar Association (IBA), and the International Fiscal Association, where he served as national co-reporter for the 2003, 2005, and 2014 congresses. In addition, he is vice president of the Tax Commission of the Luxembourg Bankers’ Association.
Before working at Arendt & Medernach, he worked as a tax manager for one of the Big Four and as head of the corporate tax department for a bank in Luxembourg. Thierry Lesage holds a master’s degree in law from the University of Liège (Belgium) and a master’s in tax law from the Université Libre de Bruxelles (Belgium). He also co-authored the Luxembourg chapter of “The International Guide to the Taxation of Holding Companies,” published by IBFD (Amsterdam). Thierry Lesage is a tax lawyer in major industry rankings such as Best Lawyers, Legal 500, and Chambers Europe.
