A Certified Public Accountant and Auditor, Stefano Massarotto has been a partner in Studio Tributario Facchini Rossi & Soci since 2012; previously, he led tax consulting in Italy for the Private Banking division of a major international banking group.
His areas of specialization include personal wealth planning and its generational transition, taxation of trusts, corporate reorganizations, M&A and structured finance transactions, and financial tax.
He is the author of many publications on taxation. He is co-author of the book about domestic and international tax: “Topics in Domestic and International Taxation,” published by Cedam, 2014, and of the Section “Italy” in The International Comparative Legal Guide to Private Client, published by Global Legal Group, 2017 and 2018.
He regularly participates as a speaker at conferences on tax matters and is a lecturer on tax matters in post-graduate courses, such as, for example, Paradigma-Optime, SDA Bocconi, and Centro Studi Bancari in the areas of Wealth Management and in particular on trusts and wealth transfer.
He holds the position of auditor in several companies.
He is a member of the International Fiscal Association (IFA), the Associazione Nazionale Tributaristi Italiani (ANTI), and the STEP Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.
