Federico Raffaelli is an expert in domestic and international tax law. He is mainly involved in consulting, following corporate reorganization transactions, transfers of shareholdings and companies, and financing and refinancing transactions. He has also gained considerable experience assisting and representing companies and individuals in litigation and pre-litigation proceedings.
He also advises in the area of international taxation of individuals, with particular reference to issues related to residence transfers, foreign asset monitoring obligations, application of double taxation treaties, and taxation of foreign source income. As part of his practice, he assists leading companies belonging to national and international groups operating in the real estate, publishing, and energy sectors. Since 2008 he has been a partner of Cms, a leading global law firm active in Italy with offices in Rome and Milan.
He graduated in 1993 from the University “La Sapienza” of Rome and, in 1995, completed an advanced course in international tax law at the same University. Since 2017, he has been a member of the Study Committee “Direct Taxes – Capital and Miscellaneous Income” of the Order of Chartered Accountants and Accounting Experts of Rome. He has held and still holds the auditor position in important companies traceable to large national and international groups. He participates as a lecturer or speaker in various master training courses and conferences in Italy and abroad.
