About

A law graduate from the University of Brescia, he began his professional career in the Milan office of the law firm Gianni, Origoni, Grippo, Cappelli & Partners, enriching his skills also through secondment experiences at Merrill Lynch Gwm and Credit Suisse.

From 2010 to 2013, he joined the legal department of State street bank in Milan. In 2013 he moved to London and joined Etf securities (Uk) Limited, where he came to serve as European regulatory counsel. From January 2018 to March 2020, he served as head of financial services legal (regulatory) at Pwc legal in London.

Since March 2020, Marco has been a partner at Orrick and head of the Italian regulatory and fintech practice, dividing his practice between Orrick's Milan and London offices. In addition to being a lawyer in Italy, Marco is a solicitor in England and Wales, a barrister at the Middle temple inn, and a notary public in England and Wales.

Since 2018 he has been the honorary consul of Italy in Great Britain (Liverpool). He is a member of the advisory board of the Italians' private capital association in London and a lecturer in financial services law at Cass business school, city university of London.

Marco enjoys spending his free time between London, Liverpool, and Milan with his family and friends, scouting out small independent gastronomic venues and promoting Italian and English culture through his role as Italian consul in Uk.
