Gabriele Sepio

Partner and founder of the law and tax firm e-IUS

A Cassation lawyer, he received his Ph.D. in tax law in 2007 from La Sapienza University of Rome. Formerly an adjunct professor at the Guardia di Finanza academy in Castel Porziano, he is a lecturer at the highschool of the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the National School of Public Administration. After several experiences in tax and law in international consulting firms such as Andersen Legal, Deloitte, and Ernst & Young, he founded 2011 with Prof. Raffaello Lupi, the tax law firm e-IUS based in Rome and Milan, where he is currently a partner.

He has been the coordinator of the Technical-Fiscal Table for the reform of the third sector at the Ministry of Labor and Social Policies. He has carried out, as a technician, legislative drafting activities on numerous issues regarding asset protection and taxation, including Law No. 112/2016 (so-called “after us”), as well as issues related to tax incentives for productive activities and digitalization (Industry 4.0 and corporate welfare).

Since 2019 he has been a member of the management committee of the Italia Sociale Foundation, established by government decree to manage funds related to the third sector. Since 2020, he has been secretary general of the Observatory for Philanthropy and the Third Sector (Terzjus). Since 2021 he has been a member of the scientific committee for promoting the social economy in international relations established by the Minister of Labor and the Coni fiscal commission.

He also has extensive experience in generational transition, asset protection, and tax monitoring issues, including his participation on the Society of trust and estate practitioners (Step) association board.

He conducts teaching activities, conferences, and specialized seminars at several Italian universities and public and private training institutions. He coordinates the scientific committee of the online platform of Il sole 24 ore dedicated to the third sector and philanthropy issues. He is the author of two monographs and numerous publications in specialized journals.

He is active in several nonprofit organizations where he volunteers and collaborates in projects designed to protect people with disabilities.
