Here are the best places in Dubai to take your clients for a formal lunch, a trendy aperitif, or a dinner to intrigue them.

Massimo Cannizzo

A smiling, bald man with a beard, dressed in a dark suit and t-shirt, stands with one hand in his pocket against a plain, light background. The portrait is in black and white.

Massimo Cannizzo is a senior advisor, executive, and entrepreneur in the field of technological innovation across various sectors and countries. He began his career with a five-year assignment in the aerospace industry in the United States and Europe. Before joining Gellify Group, he recently held leadership roles in global data strategy at Accenture Strategy, as well as in tech & digital consulting for Southern Europe and the Middle East at Accenture Consulting. He is the father of three children and has lived in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, since 2012.

A business breakfast – Els Club

The Els Club is a popular sports and business networking facility in the heart of Dubai Sports City. It is managed by the world’s leading golf management company, Troon, and golf legend Ernie Els, who is committed to creating a golf course in a beautiful desert landscape. Here you can enjoy a delicious breakfast in a relaxed atmosphere. A perfect balance of relaxation and networking, as you prepare to start your day in the right way.

A business breakfast Dubai

An hour alone in a beautiful place – XVA Art Café

If I have some time to spare before my next meeting and need to work in a relaxed, quiet, and inspiring place, as well as stock up on good coffee, I would go to the Xva Art Café in Al Fahidi Historical, in pre-modern Dubai. This cozy place has a beautiful courtyard with Arabic architecture and a relaxing space in the middle of the chaotic creek area.

A spacious courtyard café with wooden tables and chairs, potted plants, and a large tree growing in the center. Sunlight filters through a partially covered roof, creating a relaxed and inviting atmosphere.

A formal lunch with a client – Gaia Restaurant

Located in Dubai’s financial center, this Greek-inspired restaurant is not to be missed when you’re in the area. Pure sophistication, with its formal atmosphere, it has quickly become one of the city’s main business networking hubs. Divided into four sections, it has a bar and lounge, an indoor dining area, and an outdoor terrace. I like to bring my former clients here because it is quiet, spacious, and offers incredible service. The raw fish with lemon or truffle oil is a must-try.

Elegant restaurant interior with round tables, white tablecloths, blue velvet chairs, beige sofas, soft lighting, bookshelves, and framed artwork on the wall, creating a cozy and sophisticated atmosphere.

A relaxing lunch – 101 Lounge & Bar

What I really love about Dubai is its skyline and sea views, and the 101 Lounge and Bar at One & Only is one of those places where you can enjoy both. The Palm is a destination that combines three things: a feast for your eyes and taste buds and a mental break from the business world. The venue can be reached by ferry provided by the One & Only Mirage hotel. Don’t forget to round off your culinary exploration with a handcrafted cocktail.

Dubai

Un aperitivo trendy – Cassette
IlCreative bistro-cafe? Cassette is located in one of Dubai’s artistic districts. The building was constructed using recycled and reused materials and offers a sanctuary away from the city’s non-stop hustle and bustle, along with an appealing opportunity to support some wonderful local businesses. It is always full of young professionals who go there to brainstorm and find inspiration. An ideal place to get work done with its charging stations, as well as enjoy a good, hearty meal.

Modern café interior with geometric tile floor, green countertops, wood accents, and a menu board on the wall. Glass display cases hold pastries, and potted plants add greenery to the bright, inviting space.

An ideal place for informal meetings – Deseo

For a pleasant and simple experience, the Latin restaurant and lounge Deseo, located in the beautiful ME Hotel in the heart of Business Bay, is ideal. The outdoor terrace with pool offers a beautiful view of the sunset, as well as a relaxing atmosphere. The cuisine itself showcases the best of South American dishes, served with authentic snacks and a playful touch. Don’t miss the live evening performance by the saxophonist. Here you can drink one of the best Aperol Spritzes in Dubai.

Stylish outdoor lounge at night with cozy sofas, colorful pillows, patterned rugs, lit candles, and lush plants, set against the backdrop of illuminated city skyscrapers.

A dinner to intrigue – Zuma

If you’re not convinced that Dubai offers one of the best culinary experiences, this place will amaze you. Zuma, the modern Japanese restaurant in DIFC, offers a tasty menu and amazing service. Since opening in 2008, it has consistently been one of the best in the city. I suggest going early for a skillfully prepared drink at the bar to start the evening and then continuing with a culinary experience that will leave a lasting impression. Don’t miss the black cod with miso (my favorite dish) and the molten chocolate cake.

A modern, upscale restaurant interior with wooden floors and ceiling, glass walls, red cushioned seats, and small tables. City lights are visible through the large windows at night.

A gourmet dinner – Ossian

Housed in the majestic Atlantis Hotel, Ossian shares a wall with the Ambassador Lagoon underwater aquarium, which is home to over a thousand marine creatures. The best part is that no matter where you are seated, you will be enchanted by the beauty of the marine world. An experience that will not only intrigue you, but create a memory that will last a lifetime. The food and service are impeccable, as is the atmosphere of the restaurant as a whole.

Elegant underwater restaurant with round tables and blue chairs facing large aquarium windows, showcasing sharks and fish swimming among ruins and coral, creating a unique dining atmosphere.

The ultimate hotspot – Nammos

Nammos is the ultimate hotspot. Tucked away near the main entrance of the Four Seasons Resort in Dubai, it features a private beach, terrace, and restaurant. Everything about this place, including its “Mykonos” style, is why it is the ultimate hotspot for social dining. This setting is ideal for a relaxed lunch with a client, discussing business while enjoying the typical Mediterranean flavors of the menu, such as the spicy crab tartare and carpaccio, a must-try.

A spacious, modern restaurant with natural light, wooden furniture, white cushions, potted palm plants, and bamboo columns, creating a tropical and elegant atmosphere with neatly set dining tables.

The place to be and be seen – Cé la vi

Dubai’s social and nightlife restaurants never fail to amaze and innovate. One of the latest additions to the “places to see” is Cé la Vi, which evokes the French c’est la vie. Located in the heart of the Dubai Address Skyview Hotel, it was inspired by the art, sculptures, paintings, and architecture of the region, beautifully represented in its interiors. It has a breathtaking view of the world’s largest building and fountain from the 57th floor, next to the infinity pool. It’s great for a quick drink, as an aperitif or after dinner.
