Alfredo Paramico
At the age of 23, he left Naples to attend a master’s degree in econometrics at Bocconi University and then moved to London in 1994 to work at Bankers Trust. He took on increasingly important roles at Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette, Caboto, Dresdner Bank, and finally BBVA, where he directed Capital Markets activities for Italy for two years. In 2014, he moved to Miami, where he now works full-time sourcing the most beautiful and important watches for his most discerning clients, acting as a consultant and dealer through a company he created and manages himself, A. Watches LLC.
A business breakfast – Setai
Without a doubt, at the Setai A luxury hotel in the center of South Beach on Collins Avenue. Excellent service facing the ocean, very popular with celebrities passing through Miami. The enchanting view combined with a typically Latin atmosphere make it one of a kind. Very popular, also for the luxurious residences inside the hotel, it is a meeting place for many famous faces (not only American) during important events.

An hour alone in a beautiful place – Delicious Raw Kitchen and Juice Bar
In the very trendy Sunset Harbour neighborhood. A few steps from Lincoln, but in a setting of absolute peace and tranquility. You can enjoy very healthy dishes or vitamin-packed fruit juices. It has a very nice and spacious outdoor area. Frequented by many people who do “smart” working while enjoying a Watermelon Hydrator or by those who, after a lesson at one of the many yoga studios in the immediate vicinity or after a Barry’s Bootcamp class, recharge with a delicious Acai Bowl.

A formal lunch with a client – La Petite Maison
La Petite Maison in Brickell. First and foremost for its location. Brickell is undoubtedly the heart of business in Miami, home to the big banks, the most famous managers, and the local headquarters of the most important American corporations. In addition to the decidedly formal atmosphere, there is a menu that brings together the best of French cuisine with touches of distinct Italian flair. Don’t miss the burrata and baked sea bass.

A relaxing lunch – IceBox
At IceBox in the Sunset Harbor area. Frequented almost exclusively by locals, it’s almost impossible to encounter tourists in beachwear or noisy groups of young people. The menu is very extensive, ranging from salads (delicious!) to typical American bar fare. It’s the ideal place for lunch with friends or even with your partner. I confess that it’s my favorite place.

A trendy aperitif – The Standard Hotel
An absolute symbol of Miami, perhaps the most beautiful place in the city. One of the few buildings from the 1950s that still preserves Miami’s Art Deco style intact. In the past, it was “The Lido Spa,” frequented by New York’s upper class for winter holidays. Today, it is a charming hotel on the water (on the bay side, not the ocean side) from where you can admire the most beautiful and least known part of Miami, with the splendid Sunset Islands and the luxurious residences of North Bay Road. An aperitif at sunset with live music is priceless.

An ideal place for informal meetings – Swan
Lunch, or better yet brunch, at Swan in the Design District. The ideal place to enjoy delicious dishes after a day of shopping in the brand new and renowned Design District, where all the top brands (from Hermès to Vuitton, from Gucci to Prada) have opened their prestigious boutiques. Also very nice for dinner thanks to the charming outdoor garden.

A dinner to intrigue – Pueblito Viejo
This is a place where Spanish is the preferred language and which offers the best of Colombian Antioquena (Medellin) cuisine. As soon as you enter, you are captivated by a spectacle of colors and typical objects of Colombian culture hanging from the ceiling. It really feels like you are in Medellin! The menu offers the best and tastiest Latin cuisine, with delicious empanadas, grilled meat dishes, arepas, and fresh fruit juices. Live music and a dance hall adjacent to the restaurant complete the atmosphere.

A gourmet dinner – Hakkasan
Hakkasan, the name is a guarantee. The restaurant is located inside the Fontainbleau, a historic Miami hotel that also appears in the famous film Scarface. Obviously, this restaurant offers the best of quality Cantonese cuisine and highly skilled bartenders. I can say that I enjoyed the best Negroni of my life at Hakkasan!

The latest trendy spot – Komodo
A very popular restaurant located in Brickell, with ample outdoor seating. The cuisine is extremely varied (but of the highest quality), ranging from a typical Cantonese menu to sushi and a typical American steakhouse. It is a very trendy spot, and it is not uncommon to see Miami Heat or Dolphins players in its well-frequented premises.

The place to be and be seen – Papi’s Steak
Anyone who visits the city tries to dine at Papi’s. David Einhorn (famous inventor of Papi Steak, whose recipe is a secret) and his partner David Grutman (the real Deus ex machina of Miami entertainment) opened this restaurant almost two years ago and, since then, it has been frequented by celebrities of all kinds. Jennifer Lopez, for example, chose it as the location to celebrate her birthday. Don’t miss the Wagyu Pastrami and, of course, Papi’s Steak!
