Then there was the latest outbreak of <strong>tension between <a href=\"https:\/\/www.we-wealth.com\/news\/guerra-israele-iran-effetto-petrolio\">Israel and Iran<\/a><\/strong>, dubbed the \u201c12-day war.\u201d The strong market movements in the last quarter were \u201cclosely linked to trade and geopolitical dynamics,\u201d says <strong>Andrea Randone, head of mid-small cap research at Intermonte<\/strong>. At the same time, looking at small and medium-sized companies listed on the Italian stock exchange, he points out that the messages emerging from the first quarter results were \u201cpartly reassuring about the resilience of earnings for most companies, despite the context of strong uncertainty that could ease as the outcome of trade negotiations approaches.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Randone: \u201cWe suggest a selective approach\u201d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the expert, the complex macroeconomic scenario makes stock markets particularly sensitive to economic policy news, with <strong>possible benefits for defensive sectors, energy, and those protected from inflation<\/strong>. \u201cThe summer months are traditionally difficult to interpret for the markets,\u201d Randone continues. \u201cWe believe that Italian mid caps remain attractive, but we suggest a selective approach, focusing on quality stocks that are leaders in their respective sectors, with valuations supported by realistic growth prospects or solid cash generation.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The best stocks on the Italian stock exchange in June 2025<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Scratching beneath the surface, there are those who continue to race ahead despite the uncertain scenario. As highlighted in the chart below, at the top of Intermonte&#8217;s ranking of the best-performing stocks over the last month is <strong>Fincantieri<\/strong>, the shipbuilding giant, up 21%. The podium for the best mid and small caps on the Italian stock exchange also includes <strong>Cyberoo<\/strong>, a company specializing in advanced cyber security solutions, which gained 15% in the last month, and <strong>Banca Sistema<\/strong>, specializing in factoring and banking services for businesses and individuals, up 13%. Another case is that of <strong>Lottomatica<\/strong>, which recorded a performance of +83%, followed by <strong>Avio and Dovalue<\/strong> with +52%. Beating the FTSE MIB, which recorded a performance of +17% year to date, are also <strong>Antares Vision<\/strong> (+43%), <strong>Iren<\/strong> (+43%), <strong>Banca Sistema<\/strong> (+42%), <strong>IEG<\/strong> (+39%), <strong>Maire, Cementir and Tinexta<\/strong> (+34%), <strong>Seco<\/strong> (+28%), <strong>Reway Group and Sesa<\/strong> (+27%), <strong>Revo Insurance<\/strong> (+26%), <strong>Webuild<\/strong> (+22%), <strong>Carel Industries<\/strong> (+21%), <strong>Igd<\/strong> (+19%) and <strong>Somec<\/strong> (+18%).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe title=\"Stocks: best performers since the beginning of the year\" aria-label=\"Table\" id=\"datawrapper-chart-VQP61\" src=\"https:\/\/datawrapper.dwcdn.net\/VQP61\/1\/\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\" style=\"width: 0; min-width: 100% !important; border: none;\" height=\"683\" data-external=\"1\"><\/iframe><script type=\"text\/javascript\">!function(){\"use strict\";window.addEventListener(\"message\",(function(a){if(void 0!==a.data[\"datawrapper-height\"]){var e=document.querySelectorAll(\"iframe\");for(var t in a.data[\"datawrapper-height\"])for(var r,i=0;r=e[i];i++)if(r.contentWindow===a.source){var d=a.data[\"datawrapper-height\"][t]+\"px\";r.style.height=d}}}))}();\n<\/script>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Geox<\/strong>, on the other hand, tops the list of worst performers since the beginning of the year, with a decline of -40%, followed by <strong>Misitano &amp; Stracuzzi<\/strong> with -27% and <strong>Cyberoo<\/strong> with -26%. \u201cIn this context, the National Strategic Fund &#8211; expected to be launched by the end of the year with an initial commitment of between \u20ac700 million and \u20ac1 billion (49% from the fund itself and 51% from private investors) &#8211; could be a positive catalyst for the segment,\u201d Randone said.
