An honors graduate in business administration from Bocconi University in Milan, he has worked at the firm Maisto e Associati since its establishment and became a partner in 2000. Since 2021 he has been a partner at Gatti Pavesi Bianchi Ludovici following the merger with L&P – Ludovici Piccone & Partners, a firm he founded in 2014.
His areas of specialization include personal estate and trust planning, domestic and international corporate reorganizations, M&A, and structured finance transactions. He writes on tax issues for leading newspapers and major tax journals, is a speaker at tax-related conferences, and is a lecturer on tax matters in post-graduate courses. He often acts as a technical adviser in criminal and tax proceedings.
In 2022, he was reconfirmed as a “Star individual” in taxation by the international directory Chambers and partners based on client referrals. He is recognized “Leading individual” by Legal500 Emea and ranked “Band 1” Chambers HNWI guide. He is also reported by Who’s who legal in the private client and corporate tax advisory sectors.
In the Italian sphere, he was awarded from 2017 to 2022 as a Professional at the Legalcommunity tax awards and as Professional of the year in tax advisory at the TopLegal Awards 2021.
He is vice president of the Tax & Legal & Compliance Commission in Aipb (Italian Private Banking Association) and a member of the Tax and Legal Commission in Aifi (Italian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association).
He is a member of Step (Society of trust and estate practitioners).
