Marco De Leo graduated in law from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan.
Following a doctorate in international law from Trinity College in Dublin, he joined BonelliErede in 2005. In 2012 he obtained an LLM: master's degree in corporate law from the London School of Economics. He has been a partner since 2019.
Managing partner of BonelliErede Middle East Llp, he is now based in Dubai, coordinating the organization of work on practices involving partner firms in Africa and the Middle East as needed.
He handles corporate law and m&a transactions, including acquisitions (shares deals/asset deals), joint ventures, mergers, demergers, and general capital and extraordinary finance transactions; he manages and coordinates complex m&a transactions, often with multi-jurisdictional profiles, including several countries in Africa.
His professional experience has developed in various industries, including the fashion, luxury, airport, automotive, pharmaceutical, banking, and sports sectors.
He is a member of BonelliErede's Africa team and the high-end/luxury and shipping and transport focus teams.
He is, in addition, the author of several publications on corporate and private law.
