Francesco Di Carlo enjoys traveling, being in nature, and relaxing at a good restaurant. He is passionate about skiing and spends part of his free time between the Belluno Dolomites and Gressoney. He listens to Bruce Springsteen-his musical myth since adolescence-and the Stones, as well as more recent authors who introduce him to his two sons, such as Ed Sheeran.
He is a Founding Partner of the law firm 5Lex and advises Italian and foreign financial institutions in banking, finance, insurance, and corporate law. In 2016, 2017, and 2018 he was reported by Who’s Who Legal Private Funds as “one of the leading advisers in the Italian funds’ industry […] well known for his international expertise in investment funds and his dynamism on matters of structuring and management.”
In 2016 and 2017, he was included among the 50 Italian professionals who have made their mark in business consulting, according to Legalcommunity.it, while in 2018, he was awarded “Professional of the Year” in the Finance Regulatory category at the Legalcommunity Finance Awards, referred to as “out of class in the subject matter, with the great market knowledge and aptitude for problem-solving.”
He is currently Chairman of the Board of Statutory Auditors of Italmobiliare and Statutory Auditor of Mediobanca.
