He is a registered lawyer with the Milan Bar Association and practices as a lead lawyer in the international law firm Dla Piper. Previously, he worked with the tax law firm Tremonti Romagnoli Piccardi e Associati. He is a member of the executive committee of Step Italy (Society of trust and estate practitioners), of which he is an ordinary member with Tep status.
Mr Longo specializes in domestic and international tax law, particularly concerning the taxation of individuals and estates and aspects related to estate planning, inheritance, and generational transition. He assists entrepreneurial families, sportsmen, artists, financial intermediaries, family offices, foundations, and trustees among his clients.
He also provides judicial and extrajudicial assistance in tax matters to companies operating in various sectors, including transportation, technology, insurance, sports, media, and entertainment, in the context of M&A and private equity transactions involving Italian and foreign investors. He has consolidated experience concerning issues with the tax and criminal tax penalty system. He holds the position of statutory auditor in companies in the financial sector.
Mr Longo is the author of more than 200 editorial contributions in the specialized press and publications in legal journals and is a stable contributor to Il Sole24Ore. He is a member of Iba (International bar association) and Ifa (International fiscal association). He participates as a speaker at conferences, seminars, and workshops and is a lecturer in postgraduate courses.
He devotes the best time to his family and is an avid reader of legal thrillers and a basketball lover.
